17 percent more turnover for PaginaNet GmbH in 2012

PaginaNet GmbH, provider of MIS solutions for the printing and media industries, continued its positive business development once again in 2012. Thanks to numerous new customers, successful sales of the new version pagina|smart for small businesses, and expansion in its service activities, the company was able to increase its turnover by 17 percent on last year. In Europe, there are currently more than 430 printing and media companies using Pagina applications, especially because their strength lies in the strategy of open interfaces, which allows optimum networking with existing, established specialist solutions on the market.

“It was during the drupa (the largest printing equipment exhibition in the world) in particular that we noticed that numerous, especially mid-sized, users are unhappy with their current MIS solutions and are seriously considering changing over to pagina|net,” explains Sebastian Weyer, one of the two managing directors of the IT service provider from Dortmund. “Over the past year, we have been able to latch onto this mood for change and lock down some really good projects. This development has been fostered by the different mergers and changes in the industry which have given rise to questions and concerns among many a company.”

This expansion of their customer base led to an increase in PaginaNet GmbH’s European presence. After moving into their new and larger premises in Dortmund in spring 2012, the company also opened offices in Switzerland in the same year. This went hand-in-hand with a corresponding growth in staff numbers: Employee numbers at PaginaNet GmbH have grown by 75 percent since its foundation.

Positive outlook

Thanks to how well business developed in 2012, PaginaNet GmbH is also very upbeat about the future. According to Sebastian Weyer, “In the past weeks and months we have taken numerous steps to continue to improve our efficiency and effectiveness and to provide our customers with even more performance. Alongside the ongoing expansion of our services and our customer advisory services, we have especially focused on the range of products we offer. For some time now PaginaNet GmbH have, for example, successfully targeted the small business segment with pagina|smart. Equipped with the many-facetted functions of pagina|net, pagina|smart is tailored especially for use at up to two workstations. As well as being available for full purchase (€3,500 incl. installation and training), the program can also be leased.”

Focus of the Future
PaginaNet will focus its efforts and developments for the future in the fields of e-business and workflow integration. As Sebastian Weyer says, the strategy of pagina|net is to target optimum networking with existing specialist solutions. Further cooperations with established software manufacturers are planned. “Our philosophy of open interfaces and individual programming tailored to the precise needs of customers is bearing considerable fruit.”
